World Civilization

Picture
During the class of World Civilization, "combines historical thinking skills with the in-depth exploration of major course themes such as the interaction between humans and the environment; development and interaction of cultures; state-building, expansion, and interaction of economic systems; and more. Students engage in reading, writing, and discussion as they trace history from before
the Common Era to the present." This is valuable to my future because it tells me, History is more than just the living record of nations, leaders, and wars. It’s also the story of us. It’s packed with tales of how someone stood up for what they believed in, or died for love, or worked hard to make their dreams come true.

The assignment or project was about history that started from the beginning of the Common Era to the present and required me to listen to all the slides, to take notes, do assignments, and take quizzes and unit tests. It had 7 units in total, and once all of that was finished I had to take the cumulative exam. Throughout this process listed above  I have realized I have learned or grown in the following ways: to take notes, to listen very carefully, and to appreciate history. These link back to the course goals and project goals with the following evidence of The course emphasizes themes such as national identity, economic transformation, immigration, politics, international relations, geography, and social and cultural change. This tells me the following about myself and how I learn in World Civ.

The Two School Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are: Mastering skills needed in career and college and Applying technological skills for the 21st century. I have demonstrated Mastering skills needed in career and college in the artifact by demonstrating that I have to pay attention very carefully. The Second SLO I demonstrated was Applying technological skills for the 21st century by writing the essay in Word and is important because now in days, we learn History in televisions. I could have improved the following SLO better by Self Directed learner who communicates effectively

Overall the  the most important things I have learned in this class this year are to pay close attention and to write a lot of notes. These skills I have learned in this class will help me in the future by appreciating more to World History and history in general.
