During the class of Foreign Language (French I), the learning objectives are listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Each unit consists of an ongoing adventure story, a new vocabulary and grammar concepts, numerous interactive games reinforcing vocabulary and grammar, reading and listening comprehension activities, speaking and writing activities, and multimedia cultural presentations covering major French-speaking areas in Europe and across the globe. This is valuable to my future because the foreign person listening to someone else talking their own language they are used to make them happy and me happy.
The assignment or project was about learning, typing, speaking the language and it also required to take quizzes to see if you have improved. The process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with is each day, it would have a list of what you have to do for this day learn. Then, I would do activities like, questions from stories I have listened, mix and match, spelling the words, and game shows. After doing all of the activities of the week, there is a day where you have to take a quiz and write a paragraph.Throughout this process listed above I have realized I have learned that French has so many grammar rules they and I have to follow. These link back to the course goals and project goals with the following evidence of to learn a language I have selected and This tells me the following about myself and how I learn: I take notes, and I hear the stories and repeating them sometimes. Taking notes was the best choice for me.
The Two School Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are:
- Mastering skills needed in career and college
- Applying technological skills for the 21st century
I have demonstrated (this first slow SLO) in the artifact by demonstrating mastering skills needed in college because you can go to a 4-year university if you take a foreign language class for 2 years. This is important because I want to go to a 4-year university. The Second SLO I demonstrated was applying technological skills for the 21st century by doing taking this course online and is important because then it means you can take the class also at home too! I could have improved the following SLO better by Self Directed learner who communicates effectively because I don't really speak it to other people for fun.
Overall the most important things I have learned in this class this year are that it was a lot of grammar rules. These skills I have learned in this class will help me in the future by writing, reading, and speaking well in another language
